Extended Care Program

The St. Lawrence Martyr Extended Care Program is provided for the children enrolled in St. Lawrence Martyr School (grades TK - 8) whose parents desire before and after school care for their children in a safe, caring environment. The Extended Care staff members are Virtus trained and fingerprinted and have experience working with school-aged children, many having degrees in the area of Elementary Education or Child Development.The Extended Care Program offers time for supervised homework and supervised play activities, including crafts, games and outdoor play.

Hours Of Operation

The Extended Care Program is opened throughout the school year beginning the last week of August and ending the second week of June.  The hours of operation are the following:

Morning Care

Monday - Friday: 7 a.m. to 8 a.m.

Afternoon Care

Monday - Thursday: 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

First Fridays: 12:15 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Regular Schedule Fridays 1:20 - 6:00p.m.

Contracts, Payment Plans, Rates & Fees

Hourly Fees

Extended Care is available on a drop-in basis before and/or after school calculated at the rate of $7.00 per hour or portion of an hour.

NOTE:  Afternoon fees are calculated starting at 3 p.m.; however, there is no charge if your child is picked up by 3:15 p.m.

Monthly Flat Rate

A flat monthly rate is provided at a significant discount. The Extended Care Monthly Contract covers attendance for all open hours of extended care. Therefore, a prorated fee is not available for those that choose to attend only a portion of the month. Likewise, absenteeism is not subtracted from the monthly fee.  However, a family may choose to alternate between “monthly” and “hourly” rates prior to the start of the new month; once the contract for the month begins, a change may not be made for that month.

ECP Tuition Collection

The St. Lawrence Martyr School Extended Care Program partners with Smart Tuition for processing and collecting ECP fees.  Monthly Fees are posted to Smart Tuition on the 10th of the current month and are due on the 1st of the following month. Hourly Fees are calculated at the end of each month. Then they are are posted to Smart Tuition on the 10th of the following month and are due the 1st of the next month.  All fees must be paid by the due date or a $25 late fee will be assessed.
