Emma Morrett - Physical Education

I am originally from Australia, I grew up attending an Anglican girl’s school, where I went through my confirmation and first communion my senior year.  I moved to California to attend college, where I studied and played basketball at El Camino College in Torrance. From there I transferred to California State University, Long beach where I completed a Bachelors in Kinesiology, specializing in Physical education, I also received my teaching credential from Long Beach.  From there I completed a Master’s degree in School counseling from Cal State, Dominguez Hills and most recently completed a Master’s degree in Health and Human Services-Military resilience counseling from Liberty University in Virginia. I am also a nationally registered Emergency Medical Technician (NREMT).

I have taught both physical education and been a school counselor since 2001, working for Los Angeles Unified (LA County, Ca), Coronado Unified (San Diego County, CA), Mill Valley School District (Marin County, CA), and Berkeley County Schools in West Virginia. I am an active duty military spouse and am overjoyed at the opportunity to teach and become part of the SLM community.
