_Updated January 2011
Dear Prospective Developmental Kindergarten and Kindergarten Parents:
Thank you for your interest in St. Lawrence Martyr for the 2011-2012 school year.
This letter is meant to inform you of the process for admission into our program and to explain requirements. Enclosed in this packet is important material from Chancy & Bruce Educational Resources, Inc., the kindergarten application, admission requirements, and 2010-2011 Tuition & Fees (2011-2012 Tuition & Fees have not yet been determined). Chancy & Bruce, Ms. Egnatuk, the Developmental Kindergarten teacher, and Mrs. Hoffman, the Kindergarten teacher, will be screening your child for Kindergarten readiness at St. Lawrence Martyr School. We have found from past experiences that a child’s readiness for kindergarten is directly proportional to the amount of success he/she will experience in school. Please be aware that the Readiness Screening is designed to give us information on developmental readiness for both kindergarten programs.
If your child is deemed “not ready,” or we have some doubts on their readiness for Kindergarten, we may suggest another year for developmental growth, possibly in our Developmental Kindergarten Program. If a child is tested as not ready, this only means that the child needs more time for development and is no reflection on their ability. We want to be sure that every student we accept here at St. Lawrence Martyr School is virtually guaranteed to be successful and happy in school before they even start.
If you have any questions on the process, please do not hesitate to contact me.
With this in mind, we ask that you review carefully the following process and be ready to participate fully in it.
